We’re Damien and Shawna, a husband-and-wife team passionate about helping families get the full financial benefits they deserve. We’ve been working in the tax industry since 2023, helping families maximize their Disability Tax Credit (DTC) with Slinn Tax, a well-known tax preparation company in the DTC space. Now, we’re excited to take on our own clients and continue making the process simple, stress-free, and rewarding.
So, why the name Tax Cats? Well, our own cats—past and present—have always been our little support team. They keep us company while we work, offering comfort, encouragement, and the occasional well-timed distraction. As lifelong animal lovers and longtime volunteers with animal rescues, we wanted to bring that same warmth and care into our business. Just like our cats support us, we’re here to support you—helping you navigate your DTC benefits with ease.
